Whether it’s a worldwide pandemic that wreaks havoc on nearly every aspect of community life, deadly weather events that destroy homes and businesses and leave communities without basic human necessities, or tragic acts of needless violence that leave a trail of devastation and heartache across communities, the OVP Foundation for Healthier Communities responds quickly with needed resources, support, and compassion.

In 2022, our team was privileged to respond to the needs of communities across Eastern Kentucky ravaged by sudden and massive flooding. We purchased and collected large quantities of bottled water and cleaning supplies and distributed them to people and communities who had lost nearly everything. We also provided critical emotional support and counseling services to residents of Floyd County, Kentucky, following a tragic shooting incident in the town of Allen that claimed the lives of several widely known and cherished law enforcement officers.

You never know when incidents like those will dramatically changes lives in communities across our region. We are committed to keeping our fingers on the pulse of our communities and responding quickly when tragedy strikes.
